Yesterday, the China (Dongguan) – Latin American Trade and Exchange Event, hosted by the Dongguan Bureau of Commerce, was successfully held at the Dongguan Merchants Exchange Building. As a supporting activity for the 139th Canton Fair, the event brought together nearly 50 business leaders from Chile, Colombia, Argentina and other Latin American countries, as well as more than 60 Dongguan-based enterprises, building a robust economic and trade cooperation platform under the Belt and Road Initiative.

A representative from the Dongguan Bureau of Commerce noted that Dongguan’s complete industrial chain is highly complementary to the Latin American market. Data shows that Latin America has deployed 2.5GW of energy storage systems, with 70% of Brazil’s energy storage services serving off-grid scenarios. Meanwhile, the annual investment gap in water security exceeds $150 billion.
In response to Dongguan’s "Guangdong Trade Global" strategy, the joint participation of Sunray Energy and Huiyang Electric represents not only the enterprises’ global layout but also a practical effort to bring China’s green technology to improve people’s livelihoods in Latin America.

During the event, more than half of the participating merchants established business connections, 3 agency intentions were signed, and 2 integrated projects entered preliminary planning.
